Matthew 5:44 (TLB) But I say: Love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! On the surface this verse looks like a strange directive. However, the fact is, God gives common grace this day to both those who love Him and those who oppose Him. He gives breath to the godly and the godless.

We come to this special time of the year…a time of thanksgiving to God for all that He has done for us! Yet, the sobering truth is…there are many who struggle this very day “giving thanks” because of certain things that are going on in their lives. Some have recently lost their jobs due to economic climate in our land.

Psalms 103:1, “Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.” There is great wonder that takes place when we willfully, deliberately choose to praise the Lord. We are reminding ourselves that there is a God in heaven who loves us, cares for us, and will meet all of our needs.

Exodus 7:7, “Moses was eighty years old and Aaron was eighty-three at this time of their confrontation with Pharaoh.” Has it ever dawned upon you that you still may be too young for the great assignment that God has for you… even if you are 70? You may be 50, 60, or 70 but you are still too young for God’s assignment to your life.
